The Doctrine of the Trinity
Is it a Scriptural Doctrine?
Millions of Christians the world over believe and teach the doctrine of the Trinity. In fact the Trinity doctrine is one of the very pillars of Christianity. Surely a doctrine having so many adherents should prove it to be true right? It is the purpose of this article to give you the information so that you can weigh the evidence and reach a true conclusion. I’m sure the answer to the title question will be surprising!
Basically the doctrine of the Trinity is: "…the belief in the Godhead of the FATHER and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, three co-equal and co-eternal Persons in One Living and True God…in unity of this Godhead there be three Persons, of one substance, power, and eternity the FATHER, the Son, and the Holy Ghost." (Modified). (Trinitarian Bible Society of London England).
"The Trinity is the term employed to signify the central doctrine of the Christian Religion…Thus in the words of the Athanasian Creed: ‘the FATHER is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet there are not three gods but one God.’ In this Trinity…the Persons are co-eternal and co-equal: all alike are uncreated and omnipotent." (The Catholic Encyclopedia)
Brethren the doctrine of the Trinity is the very pillar of Christianity. According to the understanding of Christian scholars, pastors, evangelist and teachers a person who does not accept and believe the Trinity doctrine cannot be a true Christian nor can that person be saved. In fact, if a person does not fully believe in the triune doctrine God of Christendom that person is according to their belief accursed and destined for the eternal fires of hell!
Brethren before we examine the Trinity doctrine under the light of the Scriptures themselves I would like to share with you some quotes of several secular and religious authorities and reveal what they say about the Trinity doctrine. I believe you will find this material quite revealing. I quote:
"Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament, nor did [YAHshua] and His followers intend to contradict the Shema of the Old Testament: ‘Hear O Israel: [YAHWEH] our [Elohim] is one.’ Deut. 6:4" (Encyclopedia Britannica)
"The term ‘Trinity’ is not a Biblical term and we are not using Biblical language when we define what is expressed by it…In point of fact, the doctrine of the Trinity is purely a revealed doctrine [Note: A revealed doctrine but revealed by whom? As I hope to prove it was revealed by Lucifer the false light bringer who has deceived the whole world and led them astray. cf Isa. 14:12-22; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; 2 Thess. 2:9-12, Rev. 2:24, Rev. 12:9; Rev. 20:10.]. That is to say, it embodies a truth which has never been discovered, and is undiscoverable, by natural reason." (Trinity Vol. 5 p. 3012 The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia).
"The New Testament nowhere conveys the doctrinal formula as such; it was shaped by church councils of the fourth and fifth centuries." (Strange Facts About The Bible p. 65).
Brethren what have we learned from these shocking sources? We have learned:
Brethren I would now like you to examine what other authorities have to say about when and how the doctrine of the Trinity was assimilated into Christian life and made its profession of faith. Truly brethren many of you will be shocked when you learn just how the doctrine of the Trinity came to be the central pillar of the Christian Faith. I quote:
"Constantine became sole emperor of the Roman Empire in 325 C.E. He is highly regarded by all Christian groups for he is the one who is instrumental in making Christianity the accepted religion of the Roman Empire. "Just before his battle with the superior forces of Maxintious at milvian Bridge, he is said to have seen a vision of a flaming cross in heaven with the words 'en touta Nike' (by this conquer). He adopted the cross as his device or sign and his troops carried it into the battle and were victorious. (Encyclopedia Britannica, 14th Edition, Volume 6 p. 298, article; Constantine).
"Hislop reveals that the standard was the letter ‘x’ which is the first letter in the title chr-st. He reveals that ‘…the x may have been intended to have one meaning to the Christians and another to the Pagans. It is certain that the letter x was the symbol of the god Ham in Egypt, and as such was exhibited on the breast of his image.’ (The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop, p. 298).
"That Constantine's motives were to fuse Christianity and Paganism into one religion is demonstrated by careful examination into his subsequent actions and church history during his life and following his death.
"The battle of Milven Bridge took place on Oct. 28, 312. ‘His edict of Toleration (AD. 313)…granted to Christians and to all others Full Liberty of following that Religion which each may choose,’ the first edict of its kind in history. He went further. He favored Christians in every way: filled chief offices with them: exempted Christian ministers from taxes and military service; encouraged and helped in building churches: made Christianity the religion of his court: issued a general exhortation (A.D. 325), to all his subjects, to embrace Christianity.’ (Halley's Bible Handbook by H. H. Halley p. 759).
"Until the reign of Constantine the new found religion eventually termed ‘Christianity’ had been severely persecuted throughout the Roman Empire, yet even with the harsh persecution and the resulting death of many, their numbers grew.
"The Encyclopedia Britannica says, ‘From his accession, Constantine had shown himself the friend of the Christians; and when his victory over Licinium (A.D. 323) gave him an undisputed possession of the crown, he adhered to this religious policy, distributing and fortifying the Christian cause by gratitude and grants of privilege. This propitiatory attitude originated in the fact that he recognized Christianity which had successfully braved so many persecutions as the most vital and vigorous of religions, and as the power of the future. Consequently he directed his energies toward the establishment of a positive relationship between it and the Roman state.’ (14th Edition, Vol. 16, p. 410, article ‘Council of Nicaea’)
"Halley's Bible Handbook adds, ‘Under Constantine, Christianity was virtually made the State Religion of the Roman Empire. The Church immediately became an institution of vast importance in World Politics. Constantine regarded himself as Head of the Church. He called the Council of Nicaea (AD. 325), and presided over it; the First World Council of the Church (p. 769).
"The Encyclopedia Britannica further states, ‘It has been said by Stanley that Constantine was entitled to be called ‘Great’ in virtue rather of what he did than of what he was; and it is true that neither his intellectual nor his moral qualities were such as to earn the title. His claim to greatness rest mainly on the fact that he divined the future which lay before Christianity and determined to enlist it in the service of his empire, and also on his achievement in completing the work begun by Aurelian and Diocletian, by which the quasi constitutional monarchy or ‘Principe’ of Augustus was transformed into the naked aboolutism sometimes called the ‘dominate’…he not only identified himself more openly than ever with Christianity but showed a determination to assert his supremacy in ecclesiastical affairs, holding no doubt that, as the office of Pontifex Maximus gave him supreme control of religious matters throughout the empire, the regulation of Christianity fell within his province…Like Diocletian, Constantine believed that the time had come for society to be remodeled by the fiat of despotic authority, and it is significant that from henceforth we meet with the undistinguished assertion that the will of the emperor is the sole fountain of the law. Constantine, in fact embodies the spirit of absolute authority which both in church and state, was to prevail for many centuries. "When Rome conquered the world, the paganism that had spread from Babylon and developed in various nations, was merged into the religious system of Rome. This included the idea of a Supreme Pontiff (Pontifex Maximus). Thus Babylonian paganism, which had originally been carried out under the rulership of Nimrod, was united under the rulership of one man at Rome: Julius Caesar. It was the year 63 B.C. that Julius Caesar was officially recognized as the ‘Pontifex Maximus’ of the mystery religion now established at Rome.
"The Roman Emperors (including Constantine) continued to hold the office of Pontifex Maximus until 376 when Gratian, for Christian reasons, refused it. He recognized this title and office as idolatrous and blasphemous. (Babylon Mystery Religion p. 79-80 by Ralph Woodrow). "It is certain that the title ‘Supreme Pontiff’ or ‘Pontifex Maximus’ which the pope bears is not a Christian designation, for it was the title used by the Roman emperors before the Christian era. The word ‘pontiff’ comes from the word pons ‘bridge’, and facis ‘make’. It means ‘bridge-maker’. The priest - king emperors of pagan days were regarded as the makers and guardians of the bridges of Rome. Each of them served as high priest and claimed to be the bridge or connecting link between this life and the next. (Ibid p. 83).
"The [Trinity] doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies…The Council of Nicaea [presided over by Constantine see previous quote] in 325 stated the crucial formula for that doctrine in its confession that the ‘Son is of the same substance…as the FATHER,’ even though it said very little about the Holy Spirit…By the end of the 4th century…the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since." (Encyclopedia Britannica).
"The formulation ‘one God in three Persons was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith prior to the end of the 4th century…Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective." (The New Catholic Encyclopedia 1967 Vol. 14 p. 299.
Well brethren these have been some very candid authorities and they have indeed given us some shocking statements for our consideration. Just what have we learned from these authorities about when and how the doctrine of the Trinity was assimilated into Christian life and profession of faith? We have learned that:
Brethren is it not evident by the weight of evidence presented that the Trinity doctrine became established in Christian Faith and practice due to the influence of Constantine at the Council of Nicaea where he presided as Pontifex Maximus and Head of the Church? If it hasn’t yet the upcoming authorities will give more weight to this fact! Isn’t it time you learn where Constantine and those who convened at the Council of Nicaea derived the doctrine of the Trinity from? Especially in light of the following quotes that reveal that the doctrine of the Trinity did not come from the pages of Holy Writ (i.e. neither the old or New Testament Scriptures). I quote:
"Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament,…"(Encyclopedia Britannica).
"The term Trinity is not a Biblical term, and we are not using Biblical language when we define what is expressed by it…" (Trinity Vol. 5 p. 3012 The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia).
"The New Testament nowhere conveys the doctrinal formula so such;…" (Strange Facts About The Bible p. 65).
"We must look, not to the Jewish Scriptures, nor to the teaching of [YAHshua] and His apostles, but to Philo and the Alexandrian Platonists. In consistency with this view, we maintain that the doctrine of the Trinity was of gradual and comparatively late formation; that it had its origin in a source entirely foreign from that of the Jewish and Christian Scriptures; that it grew up, and was engrafted on Christianity through the hands of the Platonizing Fathers … "(The Church of the First Three Centuries p. 34).
Brethren do you realize the importance of what you have just read in the above quotes? The Trinity doctrine did not come from either the Old or New Testament Scriptures, but from an entirely foreign source and was grafted on Christianity. This is collaborated by the famous historian Will Durant in The Story of Civilization p. 595. I quote:
"Christianity did not destroy paganism, it adopted it…The Greek language having reigned for centuries over philosophy became the vehicle of Christian literature and ritual; the Greek mysteries passed down with the impressive mystery of the Mass. Other pagan cultures contributed to the syncretist result. From Egypt came the idea of a divine Trinity.
Brethren Will Durant wasn’t the only person who realized how Christianity adopted pagan practices and beliefs. I quote:
"…To conciliate the Pagans to nominal Christianity, Rome, pursuing its usual policy, took measures to get the Christian and Pagan festivals amalgamated, and, by a complicated but skilful adjustment of the calendar, it was found no difficult matter, in general, to get Paganism and Christianity – now far sunk in idolatry – in this as in so many other things, to shake hands." (The Two Babylons p. 104-105 Hislop).
"This tendency on the part of Christians to meet Paganism halfway was very early developed; and we find Tertullian, even in his day, about the year 230, bitterly lamenting the inconsistency of the disciples of Chr-st in this respect, and contrasting it with the strict fidelity of the Pagans to their heathen religion, who take special care to adopt no solemnity from the Christians. Upright men strove to stem the tide, but in spite of all their efforts, the apostates went on, till the Church, with the exception of a small remnant, was submerged under Pagan superstition." (Ibid p. 92-93).
Brethren let us look deeper into this entirely foreign source and learn the truth of where Christianity adopted the false idea of the doctrine of the Trinity from. I think you will be not only shocked but appalled at the truth herein presented. I quote:
"Although the notion of a divine triad or Trinity is characteristic of the Christian religion, it is by no means peculiar to it. In Indian religion we meet with the Trinitarian group of Brahma, Siva, and Vishnu; and in Egyptian religion with the Trinitarian group of Osiris, Isis, and Horus, constituting a divine family, like the Father, Mother and Son in medieval Christian pictures." (Encyclopedia of Religions and Ethics Trinity) p. 458.
"In the unity of that only god of the Babylonians, there were three persons and to symbolize that doctrine of the Trinity, they employed, as the discoveries of Layard prove, the equilateral triangle just as it is well known the Romish Church does at this day." According to the footnote on page 16 the Egyptians used the same triangle as a symbol of their Trinitarian deity. (The Two Babylons Hislop).
Brethren please look on the outside spine of your Bibles or on the inside on the title page. Many Christian Bibles today have this very pagan equilateral triangle on them. Usually on the title page or back side of it there is a small note that says that this symbol is an ancient symbol of the Trinity. Do your hands burn brothers and sisters as you hold these Bibles with pagan symbols on them? They should as they have been dedicated to the false Babylonian and Egyptian Trinities – i.e. false elohim and not YAHWEH El Shaddai!
"Trinity – Distinguished from the Triad as being a unity, three-in-one and one-in-three, symbolizing unity in diversity…Buddhist: The Triratna: the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. Celtic: there are numerous Trinities, the three Bridgets are three-in-one as is the lunar Great Mother, and the family, is three-in-one. Christian: Father, Son, Holy Spirit or Mary, Joseph, Jesus; Egyptian: Father, Mother, Son: Osiris, Isis, Horus; Gracio – Roman: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades; Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto. Hindu: The Trimurti, also the threefold Brahman; Scandinavian, and Teutonic: Odin, Thor, Frigg; Woden, Donar, Frija. Sumeri - Semitic: Anu, Ea, Bel; Sin, Shamash, Ishtar; Asshur, Anu, Hoa." (An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Traditional Symbols p. 181.
Brethren we must always remember that satan does not appear as a monster with horns, and a long tail carrying an extra large pitchfork to prod our bottoms when we are good! No! Brothers and sisters satan appears as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) professing to bring you truth but sadly as our Master YAHshua revealed he is a liar and the father of it! (John 8:44). Yes, brothers and sisters satan is crafty and cunning (Gen. 3:1) and all his light is a false light designed to deceive you and to cost you’re your place in the kingdom of YAHWEH. (Rev. 12:9; 2 Thess. 2:8-12). We should also remember YAHshua's warning about wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matt. 7:15) because in just such a manner satan used his agents to clothe pagan beliefs in Christian garments! This Christianizing of Paganism has become a mixture that has deceived millions. For a prime example of this in the Old Testament Scriptures I quote:
"And the sovereign of Asshur brought people from Babel, and from Kuthal, and from Awwa, and from Hamath, and from Spharwayin, and placed them in the cities of Shomeron instead of the children of Yisrael. And they took possession of Shomeron and dwelt in its cities. And it came to be, at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they did not fear YAHWEH, and YAHWEH sent lions among them, which kept on slaying among them.
"And they spoke to the sovereign of Asshur, saying, ‘The nations whom you have removed and placed in the cities of Shomeron do not know the right-ruling of the Elohim of the land. And He has sent lions among them because they do not know the right-ruling of the Elohim of the land.’
"And the sovereign of Asshur commanded, saying, ‘Send one of the priests whom you exiled from there, and let him teach them the right-ruling of the Elohim of the land.’ And one of the priests whom they had exiled from Shomeron came and dwelt in Beyth El, and taught them how to fear YAHWEH.
"But every nation was making mighty ones of its own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Shomerites had made, every nation in the cities where they dwelt. And the men of Babel made Sukkoth Benoth, and the men of Kuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamoth made Askima, and the Awwites made Nabhay and Tartag. And the Sepharwites burned their children in fire to Adrammelek and Anammelek, the mighty ones of Sepharin.
"They also feared YAHWEH, and from every class they made for themselves priests of the high places, who offered for them in the house of the high places. They were fearing YAHWEH, and they were serving their own mighty ones according to the ruling of the nations from among whom they had been exiled. To this day they are doing according to the former rulings: they are not fearing YAHWEH, nor do they follow their laws or their right-rulings, or the Torah and command which YAHWEH had commanded the children of Yaaqob, whose name He made Yisrael… So these nations were fearing YAHWEH, and served their carved images, both their children and their children’s children. As their fathers did, they are doing to this day." (2 Kings 17:24-34, 41).
Brethren this was a prime example of satan mixing the true with the false – compromising and watering down the true worship. In just the same way satan has mixed the false doctrine of the Trinity from Paganism into Christianity and drawn away billions from the true worship of YAHWEH and His Son YAHshua Messiah. This substitution of the false doctrine of the Trinity into true worship was like removing the contents of a vial of poison from one container and pouring it on the contents of a bowl of peppermint candy! The candy even though in may still be sweet to the taste is deadly to the one who consumes it. No matter how well we dress up paganism on the outside – paganism remains just as deadly for YAHWEH has warned us and commanded us:
"When YAHWEH your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go in to dispossess, and you disperse them and dwell in their land, guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’ Do not do so to YAHWEH your Elohim, for every abomination which YAHWEH hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. All the words I am commanding you, guard and do it – do not add to it nor take away from it." Deut. 12:29-32. (cf Deut. 18:9-14; Lev. 18:3; Ezek. 11:12; 20:32; Eph. 4:17; 1 Peter 4:3).
True worship must be in spirit and truth (John 4:24) not pagan error. Brothers and sisters you cannot prop up the pagan doctrine of the Trinity and try to clothe it up in Biblical language for previously we learned that: "The term ‘Trinity’ is not a Biblical term, and we are not using Biblical language when we define what is expressed by it…" (Trinity Vol. 5 p. 3012 The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia).
Brethren let us dig deeper into the truth of the facts and see just how this Pagan Abomination of a doctrine was allowed into the Christian Church: I quote:
"Constantine thought like a Greek. Remember the conquest of Troy? The Greeks besieged and attempted unsuccessfully to destroy the city for years. Finally they came up with the idea of the Trojan horse. The Greeks made it look like as if the Trojans were triumphant and they were leaving a monument to the victory of the Trojans. When the fleet sailed away, the unsuspecting Trojans moved the horse inside the city and began their victory celebration. When the crowds were sleeping of their drunken stupor, the Greek soldiers hidden in the horse opened the gates to the city to the invading Greek armies and Troy became history.
"Constantine made it appear as if the New Testament Assembly had conquered Rome. He faked humility, was allowed to enter the assembly and then took over considering himself the Pontifex Maximus, the sole head of the assembly and its lawgiver." (Colossians 2:16-17 or Holidays Vs. Holy Days p. 23 by Jerry Healan).
"Constantine’s supposed conversion to the new faith and subsequent entry into the corrupted remnants of the New Testament Assembly was a ruse to give him authority over the faith. He and his successors deceived the masses into believing that the kingdom of heaven had finally come to earth.
Here is what Henry Halley observed in his work entitled Halley's Bible Handbook, ‘Emperor Constantine (AD. 306-337) when he became a Christian issued an edict granting everybody the right to choose his own Religion. (Note: Isn’t this much like America of today? Elder Jerry Healan’s note).
"Emperor Theodosius (AD. 378-398), made Christianity the State Religion of the Roman Empire, and made church membership compulsory. This was the worst calamity that has ever befallen the church. This forced conversion filled the churches with unregenerate people. (Notice the combining of the clean and unclean, there is no difference made between them. Elder Jerry Healan’s note).
"Not only so, Theodosius undertook the Forcible Suppression of all other Religions, and prohibited idol worship. Under his decrees, heathen temples were torn down by mobs of Christians, and there was much bloodshed.
"Chr-st had designed to conquer by purely Spiritual and Moral means. Up to this time conversion was voluntary, a genuine change in heart and life. "But now the military Spirit of Imperial Rome had entered the church. The Church had conquered the Roman Empire. But in reality the Roman Empire had conquered the church by making the church over into the image of the Roman Empire. [Editors Note: Thus was fulfilled Rev. 13:15 which says: "And there was given to him to give spirit to the image of the beast [ Christianity is the image of the fourth beast of Dan. 7:7-8; Dan. 7:19-25 – i.e. Rome!]
"The Church had changed its nature, and entered its Great apostasy, had become a political organization in the Spirit and pattern of Imperial Rome, and took its nose-dive into the - millennium of papal abominations.
"The Imperial Church of the 4th and 5th centuries had become an entirely different institution [Editors Note: and still is] from the persecuted Church of the first three centuries. In its ambition to rule it last and forgot the spirit of Chr-st.
"Worship at the first very simple was developed into elaborate, stately, imposing ceremonies having all the outward splendor that had belonged to heathen temples.
"Ministers became Priests. The term ‘priest’ was not applied to Christian ministers before A.D. 200. It was borrowed from the Jewish System, and from the example of heathen priesthood. Leo I (440-61) prohibited priests from marrying, and celibacy of priests became a law of the Roman Church.
"Conversion of the Barbarians. The Goths, Vandals, and Huns who overthrew the Roman Empire accepted Christianity; but to a large extent their conversion was nominal and this further filled the Church with Pagan practices.
"Conflict with heathen philosophers. Even as every generation seeks to interpret Chr-st in terms of its own thinking, so no sooner had Christianity made its appearance then it began its process of amalgamation with Greek and Oriental philosophers; and there arose many sects: Gnosticism, Manichassism, Montanism, Monarchianism, Arianism, Appolinarianism, Nestorianism, Eutychianism, Monophysites. From the 2nd to the 6th centuries the Church was rent with controversies over these and similar isms, and almost lost sight of its true mission. (p. 760-761)" (quoted in The Covenant of the clean and unclean p. 13-14 by Elder Jerry Healan).
Brethren is it not evident that Christianity (the State Religion of the Holy Roman Empire) was the image of the fourth beast if Daniel chapter 7 revealed in Revelation 13? It was during this Great Apostasy from the 2nd to the 4th century CE (as admitted by other authorities I’ve quoted) that the false doctrine of the Trinity was adopted from Paganism and supposedly Sanctified by Christianity and made the central pillar doctrine of all Christendom. Yet brethren, the truth of the matter is that no amount of candy coating can make this Trinity doctrine sweet to the True Worshipper who must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). The True Worshipper must reject all doctrine not sustained by the Word of YAHWEH. (cf. Isa. 8:20; Jer. 6:10; Jer. 15:16; Jer. 23:28-30;36; Hos. 14:9; Ps. 12:6-7; Ps. 119:9,11,105; 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Tim. 3:14-17; 2 Tim. 4:2-4; Titus 1:9).
Brethren it is now time to examine the Trinity doctrine under the search light of YAHWEH'S Word. Only through the Scriptures can we learn the truth of the relationship of YAHWEH the Heavenly FATHER and YAHshua His firstborn Son and the Holy Spirit. May YAHWEH Himself anoint your ears to hear and your eyes to see and your heart to accept the True Scriptural Relationship of the Elohim Family.
Brethren If I were to ask you where is the earliest historical account found in the Scriptures what Scriptures would you give me? Brethren I’m talking about the Scriptures that take us back as far in Eternity as we can go before the heavens and earth were created. Most people would say either Gen. 1:1 or John 1:1-2. But these Scriptures only deal with the beginning of the creation of the heavens and the earth. Brethren there are Scriptures that go back far into eternity that pre-date both Gen. 1:1 and John 1:1-2. These Scriptures reveal tremendous Truths of an event that took place before time began and the heavens and earth were made! I’m sure that many of you are thinking what book is this fool reading because it sure isn’t the Holy Bible! But yes I am! Look at the chart below:
Brethren, let us study the real beginning before there ever was a heaven or an earth. Yes even before the recreation of this present heaven and earth that now exist for mankind. I quote:
"YAHWEH possessed Me, the beginning of HIS way. As the first of HIS works of old. I was set up ages ago, at the first, before the earth ever was. When there were no depths I was brought forth. When there were no springs heavy with water. Before the mountains were sunk, before the hills, I was brought forth. Before HE had made the earth and the fields, or the first dust of the world. When HE prepared the heavens, I was there. When HE decreed a vault on the face of the deep, when HE set the clouds above, when HE made the fountains of the deep strong, when HE gave to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress HIS command, when HE decreed the foundations of the earth. Then I was beside HIM, a master workman, and I was HIS delight, day by day Rejoicing before HIM all the time, Rejoicing in the world, HIS earth; and My delights were with the sons of men. Brethren who was this YAHWEH possessed as the beginning of His way? Who was this that was the very first of YAHWEH'S works of old? Who was this that was set up long ago at the first before the earth ever was? Who was this that was brought forth before there were no depths, no springs heavy with water, before the mountains were sunk before the hills were formed or the first dust of the world made? Who was this that was there when the heavens were prepared, when He decreed a vault on the face of the deep, when He set the clouds above and the fountains of the deep and the limit of the sea? Who was this that was brought forth yet was also a master workman beside Him? Who is this that when we find Him we find life (Eternal Life) and obtain favor (grace) from YAHWEH? Who is this that if we sin against Him causes injury to ourselves or who if we hate him love death ( the second death)? (See Strong’s for possessed).
H7069. hnq qanah, kaw-naw'; a prim. root; to erect, i.e. create; by extens. to procure, espec. by purchase (caus. sell); by impl. to own:--attain, buy (-er), teach to keep cattle, get, provoke to jealousy, possess (-or), purchase, recover, redeem, X surely, X verily.
Notice brethren that the Hebrew word qanah ment to erect or create. In saying Yahweh possessed Me the Hebrew literally means erected Me or created Me! Who was this Being who was erected or created?
Brethren this Being can be no one but YAHshua in His pre-existent form back in the farthest time of eternity when He was brought forth as the beginning of YAHWEH'S way, the first of YAHWEH'S works of old. Because there it was that YAHshua was brought forth an Elohim Being! Brethren let us look at the Hebrew word that was translated "brought forth" by the scholars. It is found in the Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary under:
H2342. 02342 lwx chuwl khool or lyx chiyl kheel a prim. root; prop. to twist or whirl (in a circular or spiral manner), i.e. (spec.) to dance, to writhe in pain (especially of parturition) or fear; fig. to wait, to pervert:--bear, (make to) bring forth, (make to) calve, dance, drive away, fall grievously (with pain), fear, form, great, grieve, (be) grievous, hope, look, make, be in pain, be much (sore) pained, rest, shake, shapen, (be) sorrow (-ful), stay, tarry, travail (with pain), tremble, trust, wait carefully (patiently), be wounded.
Notice brethren one of the defining words is parturition. Webster’s New World Dictionary defines parturition as: parturition (p²r t½½ rish 'an n) n. [<L. parere, bring forth] childbirth.
That this definition is correct is confirmed by some of the other words such as bear, (make to) bring forth, (make to) calve, form, shapen and travail (with pain) used to define the Hebrew word chuwl/chiyl.
Now brethren I know that I am upsetting some of your theology here but I hope that you have the humility to read on because there is a deep truth herein to be revealed. I will attempt to reveal to you an Awesome understanding of the great mystery that has been hidden in the Scriptures for ages but was revealed to and by the Apostle Paul (Shaul) for the saints.
Many of you brethren understand correctly that the true "born again" experience is when at the resurrection we put on spirit bodies and are at that time born from above and become a part of the Elohim Family. (cf. 2 Cor. 5:1-6; John 3:1-8; Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 15:35-55; Col. 1:18; Rev. 1:5). (Also request our article called Are you Really Born Again?)
Most of you also correctly understand that as humans we were first (brought forth) born as flesh and blood and that when YAHshua Messiah returns at His second coming we will all be (brought forth) born as spirit brings but what most of our brethren do not understand is that for YAHshua it was the other way around! Scripture reveals that YAHshua was first brought forth (born) a Spirit Being. (i.e. an Elohim Being in the Elohim Family) by YAHWEH Himself (cf. Proverbs 8:22-25). At the appointed time YAHshua divested Himself of His glory as an Elohim Being and became a man to die for our sins, lead us to the FATHER so that in the future resurrection we could be brought forth (born) into the Elohim Family (that at this time consists only of the FATHER YAHWEH and the Son YAHshua).
I know this is hard to accept, but the Scriptures reveal that YAHshua was the firstborn Son of YAHWEH before he came to this earth to be born a man and be our Saviour. I quote:
"WHO has gone up to the heavens and come down? WHO has gathered the wind in HIS fists? WHO has bound the waters in a garment? WHO established all the ends of the earth? What is HIS Name, and what is HIS Son's Name if you know." (Prov. 30:4). Notice brethren that YAHWEH had a Son in the Old Testament! Again I quote:
"For to which of the messengers did HE ever say, ‘You are MY Son, today I have brought You forth’? And again, ‘I will be to Him a FATHER, and He shall be to ME a Son’? And when He again [a second time!] brings the firstborn into the world, HE says, ‘Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him." (Heb. 1:5-6).
Notice brethren the firstborn (YAHshua) is already a firstborn Son before He was ever brought into this world! And that He was an Elohim Being is proven by the following Scriptures:
"But to the [firstborn] Son HE says,’ Your throne, O Elohim, is forever and ever, a sceptre of straightness is the sceptre of Your reign. You [YAHshua the Firstborn Son] have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Because of this Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER], Your [YAHshua the Firstborn] Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER] has anointed You [YAHshua the Firstborn] with the oil of gladness more than Your [YAHshua the Firstborn] companions [the brothers born into the Elohim Family Rom. 8:29 at the resurrection 2 Cor. 15:45-55]. (Heb. 1:8-9).
"In the beginning was the Word [YAHshua], and Word [YAHshua] was with Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER], and the Word [YAHshua] was in the beginning with Elohim [the FATHER YAHWEH]." John 1:1-2
Brethren it was the Word [YAHshua] who became flesh (i.e. a man). YAHshua was an Elohim Being with YAHWEH but He divested Himself of that glorious existence to become our Saviour. I quote:
"And the Word [YAHshua] became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His [YAHshua's] esteem as of an only brought forth [firstborn Son] of a FATHER [YAHWEH HIMSELF], complete in favour and truth." (John 1:14). And again I quote:
"For, let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah YAHshua, Who being in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim [the FATHER] a matter to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of men. And having been found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, death even of a stake. Elohim [the FATHER YAHWEH], therefore, has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of YAHshua every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and every tongue should confess that YAHshua Messiah is Master, to the esteem of Elohim the FATHER." (Philip. 2:5-11).
Brethren the Apostle Paul (Shaul) revealed that for humans of flesh and blood the fleshly existence was first but afterward the spirit existence. I quote:
"And so it has been written, ‘ The first man Adam became a living being [flesh and blood],’ the last Adam a life-giving Spirit [YAHshua cf. John 1:4; Prov. 8:35-36]. The spiritual [in mankind’s case], however, was not first, but the natural [flesh and bones], and afterward the spiritual [spirit body]. The first man who was of the earth, earthly [flesh and bones]’ the second Man is the Master from heaven [YAHshua]. As is the earthly so also are those who are earthly [flesh and bones]; and as is the heavenly so also are those who are heavenly [The FATHER YAHWEH and the Son YAHshua]. And as we have borne the likeness of the earthly [flesh and bones], we shall also bear the likeness of the heavenly [YAHWEH and YAHshua as Elohim Spirit Beings]. And this I say, brothers that flesh and blood is unable to inherit the reign of Elohim…" (1 Cor. 15:45-50)
And so brethren as you can see YAHshua's prior existence began back in eternity when He was brought forth (born) as an Elohim Being before anything else was created. Thus YAHshua is the firstborn not just from the dead (Col. 1:18; Rev. 1:5) or the firstborn among many brothers (Rom. 8:29) but also the firstborn of all creation (Col. 1:5) as well. (Prov. 8:22-25).
Before I go on I know also that some of you are going to find fault in that I applied Proverbs 8:22-36 to YAHshua. Many of you will contend that Proverbs 8:1-36 should be applied to wisdom. I agree and as I will endeavour to prove so do the Scriptures that YAHshua Messiah is the Wisdom of YAHWEH. I quote:
"Yet we proclaim Messiah impaled, to the Yehudim a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called both Yehudim and Greeks Messiah the power of Elohim and the wisdom of Elohim…And of HIM you are in Messiah YAHshua, Who became for us wisdom form Elohim, righteousness also, and set-apartness and redemption" (1 Cor. 1:24, 30). And again:
"But we speak the wisdom of Elohim which was hidden in a secret, and which Elohim ordained before the ages for our esteem, which no one of the rulers of this age know, for if they had known, they would not have impaled the Master of esteem." (1 Cor. 2:7-8). And again:
"In order that their hearts might be encouraged, being knit together in love, and to all riches of the entire confirmation of understanding, to a true knowledge of the secret of Elohim, and of the FATHER, and of the Messiah in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Col. 2:2-3).
Brethren if the preceding Scriptures were not sufficient to reveal to you that YAHshua Messiah the Firstborn Son of YAHWEH was and is the Wisdom of YAHWEH spoken of in Proverbs 8:1-36 then please examine these Scriptures:
"To Him [YAHWEH] WHO by wisdom made the heavens, For HIS kindness is everlasting." (Ps. 136:5) And again:
"YAHWEH founded the earth by wisdom: HE established the heavens by HIS understanding." (Jer. 10:12; 51:15). And again:
"And because of this the wisdom of Elohim said, ‘I shall send them prophets and emissaries, and some of them they shall kill and persecute." (Lu. 11:49).
Brethren the above verses say that by wisdom YAHWEH created the heavens and the earth. Just who do the Scriptures reveal did the actual creating of not only the heavens and the earth but all things? Was it not YAHshua the Wisdom of YAHWEH – the Word of YAHWEH who was a master workman beside His FATHER YAHWEH? This I hope to prove is the case and understanding of (Prov. 8:30). I quote:
"I was beside HIM [YAHWEH], a master workman…(Prov. 8:30)
"In the beginning was the Word [YAHshua], and the Word [YAHshua] was with Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER], and the Word [YAHshua] was Elohim [i.e. YAHshua was an Elohim Being c.f. Philip. 2:5-6]. He [YAHshua] was in the beginning [the creation] with Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER]. All came to be through Him [YAHshua], and without Him [YAHshua] not even one came to be that came to be…He [YAHshua] was in the world, and the world came to be through Him [YAHshua], and the world did not know Him [YAHshua]…And the Word [YAHshua], became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His [YAHshua's] esteem, esteem as of an only brought forth of a FATHER [YAHWEH], complete in favour and truth." (John 1:1-3, 10, 14).
"For there is one Elohim, the FATHER, from WHOM all came and for WHOM we live, and one Master YAHshua Messiah, through Whom all came and through Whom we live." (1 Cor. 8:6).
"And to make all see how this secret is administered, which for ages past has been hidden in Elohim [The FATHER YAHWEH] WHO created all through YAHshua Messiah." (Eph. 3:9).
"Because in Him [YAHshua] were created all that are in the heavens and that are on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulership or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him [YAHshua] and for Him [YAHshua]." (Col. 1:16).
"Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER], having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son [YAHshua], Whom HE [YAHWEH] has appointed heir of all, through Whom also HE made the ages." (Heb. 1:1-2).
"By belief, we understand that the ages were prepared by the Word of Elohim [YAHshua], so that what is seen was not made of what is visible." (Heb. 11:3).
"For they choose to have this hidden from them: that the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by the Word of Elohim [YAHshua]." (2 Peter 3:5).
"By the Word of YAHWEH [YAHshua] the heavens were made, and all their host by the Spirit of His mouth [YAHshua]." (Ps. 33:6).
Brethren just who do you suppose was the Wisdom of Elohim who spoke in Luke 11:49? Was it not the Word of YAHWEH – YAHshua Messiah?
Notice what YAHshua said brethren. I quote: "No one has ever seen Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER]. The only brought forth Son Who is in the bosom of the FATHER, He [YAHshua] did declare." (John 1:18; c.f. John 5:37; John 6:46; 1 John 4:12).
Brethren if no one has seen Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER] then just who was the Elohim that Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel saw? I quote:
"And Mosheh went up, also Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Yisrael, and they saw the Elohim of Yisrael, and under His feet like a paved work of sapphire stone, and like the heavens for brightness. Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the chiefs of the children of Yisrael! And they saw Elohim, and they ate and drank" (Ex. 24:9-11).
Brethren this was YAHshua the pre-existent Word of YAHWEH called in Hebrew dkd-hvhy Dabar-YAHWEH. This Dabar -YAHWEH appeared:
When YAHshua appeared in the Old Testament period He appeared as Spokesman for YAHWEH the FATHER! This Being is spoken of as My Messenger who led the children of Israel out of Egypt, during the 40 years wandering and finally into the Promise Land. I quote:
"See, I am sending a Messenger before you to guard you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgressions, for My Name is in Him. But if you diligently obey His voice and shall do all that I [YAHWEH] speak, then I [YAHWEH] shall be an enemy to your enemies and a distresser to those who distress you. For MY Messenger shall go before you and bring you into the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Kena'anites and the Hiwwites and the Yebusites, and I shall cut them off." (Ex. 23:20-23).
Brethren, it was YAHshua who was brought forth in Eternity who was the Word of YAHWEH (Dabar-YAHWEH), YAHWEH'S Messenger or His Spokesman and was also the Wisdom of YAHWEH that appeared in the Old Testament to all the prophets. No wonder YAHshua said, "you search the Scriptures, because you think you possess everlasting life in them. And these are they that bear witness of Me." (John 5:39). Truly the Scriptures bear greater witness of YAHshua than most of our brethren have received!
Brethren according to Proverbs 8:1-35; Proverbs 30:4 and John 1:1-3, 10, 14 there are only two Elohim Beings in the Elohim Family and they are the FATHER YAHWEH and His only brought forth Son YAHshua. That this is the correct understanding is sustained in that Proverbs 8:1-36; Proverbs 30:4 and John 1:1-3, 10, 14 all reveal only two Elohim Beings. The question remains now as to what is the relationship between the FATHER YAHWEH and His Son YAHshua. Do the Scriptures reveal more clearly the relationship between the Elohim Family? Yes, they do! In fact the scriptures reveal that the FATHER and Son are not co-equal in power and authority nor are they both co-eternal:
"As the Living FATHER sent Me, and I live because of the FATHER, so he who feeds on Me shall live because of Me." (John 6:57).
"My FATHER, WHO have given them to ME, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My FATHER'S Hand." (John 10:29). "…for My FATHER is greater than I." (John 14:28).
This is confirmed by the apostle Paul (Shaul) for he wrote that: "For He [YAHshua] has to reign until He [YAHshua] has put all enemies under His [YAHshua's] feet. The last enemy to be brought to nought is death. For HE [YAHWEH] says ‘all are put under Him [YAHshua]’ it is clear that HE [YAHWEH] WHO put all under Him [YAHshua] is excepted. And when all are made subject to Him [YAHshua] then the Son Himself shall also be subject to Him [YAHWEH] WHO put all under Him [YAHshua] in order that Elohim be all in all." (1 Cor. 15:25-28). And: "And I wish you to know that the head of every man is the Messiah, and the head of woman is the man, and the head of Messiah is Elohim [YAHWEH the FATHER]. "(1 Cor. 11:3).
Also brethren even though YAHshua is Elohim to us the Scriptures reveal that YAHWEH the FATHER is Elohim to YAHshua! I quote:
"YAHshua said to her, ‘ Do not hold on to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My FATHER. But go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My FATHER and your FATHER, and to My Elohim and your Elohim." (John 20:17)
"Blessed be the Elohim and FATHER of our Master YAHshua Messiah…" (Eph. 1:3).
"That the Elohim of our Master YAHshua Messiah, the FATHER of esteem" (Eph. 1:17).
"One Elohim and FATHER of all, WHO is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Eph. 4:6).\
Brethren just what have we learned of the True Scriptural Relationship that exists between the FATHER and Son of the Elohim Family? We have learned that:

Brethren these Scriptural Truths completely overthrow the pagan doctrine of the Trinity where three beings are all co-equal, co-eternal and equal in all power and authority. Even though YAHshua Messiah is Elohim to us and is one with the FATHER YAHWEH the facts are obvious that the Son is under the authority and headship of the FATHER and lesser in Power! Yes for the Scriptures emphatically declare that the FATHER is greater than all others including YAHshua Himself!
Now it is time to learn about the Holy Spirit and the relationship the Holy Spirit has within the Elohim Family and how the FATHER and Son use the Holy Spirit. Almost all Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is a third Person in the Trinity. They believe this mainly because the Scriptures use the personal pronouns He, Him, and Himself to refer to the Holy Spirit in the following Scriptures:
"And I shall ask the FATHER, and HE shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you…But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the FATHER shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you." (John 14:16-17, 26). "And when the Helper comes, whom I shall sent to you from the FATHER, the Spirit of the Truth, who comes from the FATHER, He shall bear witness of Me." (John 15:26)
But I say the truth to you. It is better for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you at all, but if I go, I send Him to you. And having come, He shall reprove the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgement…But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the Truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come. He shall esteem Me, for He shall take of what is Mine and announce it to you. All that the FATHER has is Mine. That is why I said that He takes from what is Mine and announces it to you
." (John 16:7, 8, 13-15).Did the Messiah YAHshua intend or mean to imply that the Holy Spirit was a person – a third person of the Trinity? Is it possible that our Bible Translators have misled us to believe in a false doctrine by using the personal pronouns to personify the Holy Spirit as a third person of the Trinity? I hope to prove to you brethren that this is a fact! For the word personify does not always have to mean that the object or thing represented as a person really is a person! Let us define the word personify. In the American Heritage Dictionary the word personify is defined thus:
Per-son-i-fy (per son i fy) tr. v. per-soni-fied, per-son-i-fy-ing, per-son-i-fies. 1. To think of or represent (an inanimate or abstraction) as having personality or the qualities, thoughts, or movements of a living being: "To make history or psychology alive I personify it." (Anais Nin). 2. To represent (an object or abstraction) by a human figure. 3. To represent (an abstract quality or idea): This character personifies evil. 4. To be the embodiment or perfect example of: "Stalin now personified bolshevism in the eyes of the world." (A. J. P. Taylor). [French personifier, from personne, person, from Old French persone. See PERSON]--per-son-i-fi-er.
Brethren just because an inanimate object or abstraction is personified with personal pronouns doesn't mean that actual object or abstraction is a real person. There are many times when this principle is applied in the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit is not the only thing in the Scriptures that personal pronouns are used to describe it. For example:
I could go on brethren as there are many more examples in the Scriptures where personal pronouns are used to describe objects or abstracts that are neither male or female. Just because the Scriptures apply personal pronouns to objects and abstracts doesn't mean they are human beings or Elohim Beings in a Trinity! Let us look at the Greek words used to translate he, him, and himself that are applied to the Holy Spirit. These words are found in Strong's Greek Dictionary under:

Brethren did you notice all the applications of these two Greek words? Why the scholars could have just as arbitrarily referred to the Holy Spirit as she, her, herself, it or itself as well as he, him and himself as they did! And consequently that they did this is proven by the very words they used in the following Scriptures to refer to the Holy Spirit. I quote:
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of Elohim…Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Prov. 8:16, 26 K.J.V.).
So tell me brethren is the Holy Spirit a He male person or an it? What is an it? The Webster's New World Dictionary defines "it" as follows:
It (it) pron. pl. see THEY [Old English hit] 1. The animal or thing previously mentioned. 2. It is also used as a). the subject of an impersonal verb [it is snowing] b). a subject or object of indefinite sense in various idiomatic construction [it's all right, he lords it over us]. - n. the player, as in tag, who must try to catch another with it [slang] alert, informed, or hip.
Now brethren we are getting some truth! For according to Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament the word we looked at above #846 autos translated "He" simply means: "In itself signifies nothing more than again, applied to what has either been previously mentioned [see 1 again under it above] or, when the whole discourse is looked at, must necessarily be supplied." Brethren do you smell a rat? Can you not see that the Bible Translators have been less than honest in their translating and that they have in fact placed the personal pronouns "he", "him" and "himself" in the text to deceive and to promote a false Trinity doctrine of a God composed of three co-equal and co-eternal persons?!
In fact there are many other instances in the Scriptures where an object or abstract rather than an actual person is crying out, teaching, telling, declaring, crying, testifying, witnessing, speaking, revealing, proving, and reasoning. For example look at these instances recorded in the Scriptures:
So brethren what is the purpose and function of the Holy Spirit? What do the Scriptures themselves reveal the Holy Spirit to actually be? It is time to look deeply into the Word of YAHWEH and learn the Truth brethren. I believe the Truth will not only be surprising but shocking as well! May YAHWEH Himself give you understanding to see the Truth in YAHshua's Name I pray. Amen.
The Holy Spirit According to the Scriptures Revealed
"And the messenger answering said to her, 'The Set-apart Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. And for that reason the Set-apart One born of you shall be called: Son of Elohim." (Lu. 1:35).
"And see, I am sending the Promise of My FATHER upon you, but you are to remain in the city of Yerushalayim until you are clothed with power from on high." (Lu. 24:49).
"But truly I am filled with power, with the Spirit of YAHWEH, and with right-ruling and with might, to declare to Ya'aqob his transgression and to Yisrael his sin." (Mic. 3:8).
"And YAHshua returned in the power of the Spirit to Galil, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding country." (Lu. 4:14).
"But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witness in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehudah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8).
"How Elohim did anoint YAHshua of Natsareth with the Set-apart Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for Elohim was with Him." (Acts 10:38).
"And the Elohim of expectation fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you overflow with expectation by the power of the Set-apart Spirit. (Rom. 15:13).
"In power of signs and wonders, in power of the Spirit of Elohim, as that from Yerushalayim and round about to Illurikon I have completed the preaching of the Good News of Messiah." (Rom. 15:19)
"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of Elohim, then the reign of Elohim has come upon you." (Matt. 12:28)
Brethren it is evident that it is through the Holy Spirit that the FATHER, Son and apostles exercised power in their lives. It is the Holy Spirit through which YAHWEH exercises His power in YAHshua and men. But what kind of power? Above we read that YAHshua cast out demons by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul (Shaul) performed signs and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit as well as preached the Good News of Messiah also. YAHshua is said to have healed and did good through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is evident then that the Holy Spirit is given to empower us with power from on high. That this is the case is sustained by the Old Testament prophecy about why we would be given the Holy Spirit:
"And I give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and give you a heart of flesh, and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to walk in My laws and guard My right-rulings and shall do them." (Ezek. 36:26-27 cf. Ezek. 11:19-20; Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 8:8-12; 2 Cor. 3:3-18).
Thus Brethren the purpose for our receiving the Holy Spirit is so that YAHWEH can exercise His power in us so that we can obey His laws and guard His right-rulings! What a contrast the Truth is compared to the false teaching of Christianity that teaches they walk by the spirit but that spirit doesn't lead them to obey YAHWEH'S laws. Thus Christianity has received a false counterfeit spirit that leads them into sin - i.e. transgression of YAHWEH'S law. (1 John 3:4). What spirit have they received brethren?
"And you were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the sin, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience."
Oh my beloved brethren who is this spirit that is leading these Christians? It is none other that Helel! (Lucifer the false light bringer). The king of Babel (Babylon).
"How you have fallen from the heavens, O Helel, son of the morning! You have been cut down to the ground, you who laid low the gentiles! For you have said in your heart, 'Let me go up to the heavens, let me raise my throne above the stars of El, and let me sit in the mount of meeting on the sides of the north [cf. Job 1:6-7; Job 2:1-2]; let me go up above the heights of the clouds [cf. Dan. 7:13], let me be like the Most High.'
"But you are brought down to the grave, to the sides of the Pit. Those who see you stare at you, and ponder over you, saying, 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble [cf. 2 Thess. 2:8-9], who shook reigns, who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who would not open the house of his prisoners?'
"All the sovereigns of the gentiles, all of them, were laid in esteem, everyone in his own house; but you have been thrown from your grave like an abominable branch, like the garment of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit, like a trampled corpse. You are not joined with them in burial for you have destroyed your land and slain your people. Let the seed of evildoers never be mentioned.
"Prepare his children [Christians] for slaughter, because of the crookedness of their fathers, lest they rise up and possess the land [by resurrection], and fill the face of the world with cities.
"And I shall rise up against them, declares YAHWEH of hosts, and shall cut off from Babel [Rev. 17:3-5; Rev. 18:1-5], the name and remnant, and offspring and descendant, declares YAHWEH. And I shall make it a possession for the porcupine, and marshes of muddy water; and shall sweep it with the broom of destruction, declares YAHWEH of hosts." (Isa. 14:12-23).
Brethren let us learn the Truth about the Holy Spirit so that we do not follow a counterfeit and end up destroyed with the children of Helel - Lucifer the false spirit that works in the children of disobedience [Christians]!
What other power did YAHWEH and YAHshua exercise through the Holy Spirit? As we shall see the Scriptures reveal that YAHWEH the FATHER created all things by the Word [YAHshua] through the power of the Holy Spirit.
"In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. And the earth came to be formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim was moving on the face of the waters." (Gen. 1:1-2).
"And YAHWEH Elohim formed the man out of the dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of life. And the man became a living being." (Gen. 2:7)
"As long my breath is in me, and the spirit of Eloah in my nostrils." (Job 27:3).
"By HIS Spirit HE adorned the heavens. HIS hand whirled the fleeing serpent." (Job 26:13)
"The Spirit of El has made me, and the breath [Spirit] of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4).
"By the Word of YAHWEH [YAHshua] the heavens were made, And all their host by the Spirit of His mouth" (Ps. 33:6).
"You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth." (Ps. 104:30).
Is it not evident by the above Scriptures that the Spirit of YAHWEH and YAHshua is the active energizing force that they used to create all things and even sustains them daily? That this is the case is sustained by the following Scriptures:
"If HE [YAHWEH] sets HIS heart on him [man], should HE [YAHWEH] gather to HIMSELF [YAHWEH'S self] HIS spirit [YAHWEH'S spirit] and HIS breath [YAHWEH'S breath], all flesh would expire together and man return to dust." (Job 34:14-15).
"Remember HIM [YAHWEH] before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the jar shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to Elohim WHO gave it." (Eccl. 12:6-7).
The following Scriptures reveal that the Holy Spirit is not a third Person of a Godhead for a Person could not be everywhere at all times and see everything like the Holy Spirit does. It is through the agency of the Holy Spirit that YAHWEH the FATHER exercises His Omniscience (knowing all knowledge). His Omnipotence (unlimited power and authority) and His Omnipresence (present in all places at the same time) and shares these gifts with YAHshua the Stone and Lamb as the following Scriptures reveal:
"O YAHWEH, YOU have searched me and know me. YOU know my sitting down and my rising up; YOU understand my thought from afar. YOU sift my path and my lying down, and know well all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But see, O YAHWEH, YOU know it all! [Omniscience]…Where would I go from YOUR Spirit? Or where would I flee from YOUR face? If I go up with the heavens, YOU are there; If I make my bed in the grave, see, YOU are there. If I take the wings of the morning I dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, There, too, YOUR hand would lead me [Omnipresence]…(Ps. 139:7-10).
"Great is our Master and mighty in power [Omnipotence]…" (Ps. 147:5).
"Now listen, Yehoshua the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are men of symbol. For look, I am bringing forth My Servant - the Branch [YAHshua Messiah]. See the stone [cf. 1 Peter 2:6-7] which I have put before Yehoshua: on one stone are seven eyes…" (Zech. 3:8-9).
"…These seven are the eyes of YAHWEH, which diligently search throughout all the earth." (Zech. 4:10).
"And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb [YAHshua] standing (cf. Rev. 14:1), as having been slain, having seven horns [all power - Omnipotence of the Holy Spirit] and seven eyes [all seeing - Omnipresence of the Holy Spirit], which are the seven Spirits [seven attributes of the perfect Holy Spirit found in Isa. 11:1-5 which are to be on the Servant the Branch:
This is the sevenfold Spirit of Elohim that HE sent out into all the earth." (Rev. 5:6).
Brethren are you not beginning to receive the revelation and understanding that the Holy Spirit of YAHWEH and YAHshua is greater than a Person i.e. a third Person of a Trinity could ever be? Truly the Scriptures reveal deep Truths and Mysteries of the awesome power and purpose of the Spirit of YAHWEH. Let us continue to dig deeper into the Treasure House of Truth - The Word of YAHWEH!
That the Holy Spirit is the seven basic attributes of YAHWEH by which He exercises His character in and through His people and not a third Person of a Trinity is verified by the following Scriptures:
"Turn at MY reproof. See I pour out MY spirit on you, I make MY words known to you." (Prov. 1:23).
"until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness shall become garden-land, and the garden-land be reckoned as a forest. Then right-ruling shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the garden-land. The work of righteousness shall be peace, and the service of righteousness be rest and safety forever. And MY people shall dwell in a house of peace, and in safe dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places." (Isa. 32:15-18).
"For I pour water on the thirsty, and floods on dry ground. I pour MY Spirit on your seed, and MY blessing on your offspring, and they shall spring up among the grass like willows by streams of water." (Isa. 44:3-4).
"And after this it shall be that I pour out MY Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, old men dream dreams, your young men see visions. And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out MY Spirit in those days." (Joel 2:28-29. cf. Acts 2:17-18).
"See, MY Servant Whom I have chosen, MY Beloved in Whom MY being did delight. I shall put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall declare right-ruling to the nations." (Matt. 12:18).
Brethren did you notice that YAHWEH repeatedly said that He would pour out His Spirit. How could you pour out a person brethren? More importantly how could the Holy Spirit be in all of YAHWEH'S people if it was a person! Impossible brethren. The truth is that the Holy Spirit is fully revealed to be YAHWEH'S attributes. But what exactly are attributes? The Webster's New World Dictionary defines attributes as follows:
at-trib-ute (a-trib'-yootute; for n. a'tra byoot) vt.-uted, uting [<l. ad, to - tribuere, assign] to think of as belonging to a certain person or thing - n. a characteristic or quality of a person or a thing - at-trib'ut-a-ble adj; at-tri-bu-tion (a tra byos'shan) n.
Notice how the following Scriptures reveal this to be true of the Holy Spirit [YAHWEH'S attributes i.e. characteristics that would rest upon the Branch YAHshua the Messiah:
"And a rod shall come forth from the stump of Yishai; and A Sprout [Branch KJV] from his roots shall bear fruit [notice the purpose for the Messiah receiving the Holy Spirit is for the purpose of YAHshua to bear fruit]. The Spirit of YAHWEH shall rest upon Him [YAHshua Messiah] - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YAHWEH, and shall make Him [Messiah] breathe in the fear of YAHWEH. And He [Messiah] shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His [Messiah] ears. But with righteousness He [Messiah] shall judge the poor, and shall decide with straightness for the meek ones of the earth, and shall smite the earth with the rod of His [Messiah] mouth, and slay the wrong with the breath of His [Messiah] lips. And righteousness shall be the girdle of His [Messiah] loins, and trustworthiness the girdle of His waist." (Isa. 11:1-3).
Brethren YAHshua was filled with the Spirit without measure (John 3:34) whereas we only receive an earnest [down payment] or small amount of the Spirit at this time (1 Cor. 12:7-11; 2 Cor. 5:5; Eph. 1:13-14). It is the Spirit of YAHWEH that reveals the will of YAHWEH to us and leads us to follow that will and be set-apart (1 Cor. 2:10-16; Rom. 12:1-2; Rom. 8:14) [i.e. produces YAHWEH'S character in us that results in our bearing the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) and exercising the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:7-11).]
Let us quickly review some Scriptures that further reveal the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I will only list the Scriptural references for briefness. Please use your Scriptures to look up each reference as you study these functions of the Spirit.
Brethren I hope that by now you can see that the Holy Spirit is more than just a person of a Trinity but is actually YAHWEH'S very attributes and energizing power that YAHWEH and YAHshua use to exercise their power, will, gifts and fruits in their people. Hopefully you can understand that the Holy Spirit is compared to the electricity that cruises through the high voltage power lines from the power plant [YAHWEH and YAHshua] to our homes [bodies] to run our appliances [produce fruits in our lives]. Truly brethren YAHWEH'S Spirit is more than a person! The Spirit of YAHWEH accomplishes all of YAHWEH'S will and desire at all times and in all places. It is the Spirit of YAHWEH that makes YAHWEH Omnipotent [all powerful], Omnipresent [all present in all places at all times] and Omniscient [all knowing of all things past, present and future]. That brethren is something a person couldn't do! Only the Spirit of YAHWEH could accomplish all that the Scriptures reveal that the Spirit of YAHWEH does.
Brethren we have only scratched the surface of the study that would reveal the depths of the Awesomeness of YAHWEH our Heavenly FATHER and His Son YAHshua our Saviour! There is one more area I feel it is needful to look at and that is the verse 1 John 5:7 that some say teaches there is a Trinity. Let me quote this verse from the KJV. of the Scriptures:
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
There you say is the Scripture that proves there is a Trinity! Wrong again brethren for I quote a note at 1 John 5:7 in the Catholic Jerusalem Bible:
"Not in any of the early Greek manuscripts, or any of the early translations, or in the best manuscripts of the Vulgate itself."
Also notice this quote about when Erasmus prepared his first edition of his Greek New Testament in 1516:
"In preparing the first edition of his [Erasmus] Greek New Testament in 1516, the Dutch Scholar used the best and oldest manuscripts available to him. For purposes of scholarship he compared Latin and Greek versions by printing them in parallel columns. Ancient copies did not include 1 John 5:7 a reference to the Trinity, standard in medieval copies of the Latin Vulgate. Guided by the principle that the oldest copies of a work are more likely to be closer to the original than later copies, Erasmus omitted from the Greek side of his New Testament the allusion familiar to readers of the Latin Bible. The use of parallel columns made the omission immediately obvious." (Strange Facts About The Bible p. 258).
In addition just because the apostle John writes of the Holy Spirit as teaching, reproving and declaring as the Comforter this does not make the Comforter a personal being for I quote:
"A similar concept underlies the Johannine terms teaching reproving and declaring, as applied to the personal Paraclete. Nevertheless, to interpret these passages as implying a person distinct from [Elohim] and [Messiah] whose Spirit he is called, is not warranted." (Trinity Doctrine of p. 19. The New Schaff - Herzaz Religious Encyclopedia).
Brethren we have investigated secular works, religious works and the Scriptures Themselves. Nowhere do we find the doctrine of the Trinity supported except in the hearts and minds of uninspired men who have tried to pawn off this pagan abomination and prop it up as a Truth revealed by the Spirit of YAHWEH. Have you examined the evidence presented herein with an open mind and heart without preconceived ideas?
Brethren should not Truth be accepted by the weight of the evidence presented and sustained by facts? I hope that this study has revealed the Truth to you of where the Trinity Doctrine came from because it came from that serpent of old - satan the devil also called Lucifer the false light-bringer!
Is it not time brethren that you came out of the Babylonish Religion of Christendom - i.e. Babylon the Great and her daughters and returned to YAHWEH El Shaddai our FATHER? Brethren I cry out to you forsake the false Trinitarian gods of Babylon and Egypt before it is too late.
"Seek YAHWEH while HE is to be found, call on HIM while HE is near. Let the wrong forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to YAHWEH, WHO has compassion on him, and to our Elohim, for HE pardons much." (Isa. 55:6-7).
"You have no other mighty ones [gods] against MY face." (Ex. 20:3).
May YAHWEH hasten the day when we all forsake false gods and false doctrines and return to our FATHER YAHWEH and restore all things (Acts 3:19-21) so that YAHshua can return and set up the Kingdom of YAHWEH. Halleluyah. Shalom dear brethren.
